Doll review:Lammily!!!!

Yaaaay! I got my lammily doll in the mail! I actually got her yesterday, but, I was too busy playing with her! The clothes that I pre-made for her fit. I also made her another shirt for her last night. Ok, ok get on with the review now! Lammily is fully articulated, but in a unique way. She has a bend and snap knee, a joint at the ankle, a joint at the wrist, and here it comes: a bend and snap elbow! I don't think that's common, but that is just what I have seen. She has rotation in her shoulders and her legs can move back and forth. This is an exlusive first edition of lammily so she came with denim shorts (with real back pockets!) and a blue and white gradient three-quarter length shirt. She also came with white running shoes with painted orange laces. She has brown hair with light brown highlights and sort of in the middle skin tone. I am actually really happy that the first edition of this doll has brown hair. I like all doll hair colours, but, I am very impressed. Overall I think lammily is an awesome doll and thank you to her creaters so bye bye for now :-)!

My Little Pony:Derpy, Fluttershy, and Thunderlane!

I was so so happy to find this set! I purchased it at Winners for $6. Some of my favourite pegasi are Derpy (my overall favourite), Fluttershy (my 2nd favourite) and Thunderlane (ONE of my favourite stallions, next to Big Macintosh). I was so happy especially to finally find Derpy because some of you may also know how diffiCOLT (Get it?) it is to find Derpy. I noticed that Derpy's cutie mark was a bit off of her flank, but, I actually do not really care because I FOUND A GENUINE WILD DERPY!!! Fluttershy came rainbowified and she had green; my favourite colour! Here are some pics of them so bye bye for now :-)!

Easy way #3: Crochet it up!

First, tie your yarn around your crochet hook. Then make a chain two times longer than you want your scarf to be. If you do not know how to make a chain, then keep repeating what the second and third pictures show until you get the desired length. Next, attatch the  two ends together with single crochet. If you do not know how to crochet, then there are lots of helpful videos online. After, double crochet the next loop. Keep doing double crochet until you get the desired length. This was really hard to explain so if you do not know how to do any of the crochet stitches mentioned here  you can check out different DIY websites and youtube videos for how to do them. I made this for Inky so I only needed to do one row ofdouble crochet, but, if you are making this for a larger doll or even a human, you would use bigger yarn and a bigger hook. I used a 4.00 hook and I think the yarn size was 2. I guess you wouldn't have to use bigger yarn and a bigger hook for a doll, but, you would for a human. I am actually making myself an infinity scarf in progress.I hope you enjoyed  my infinity scarf series so bye bye for now!

Easy way #2: Good old needle and thread

First, cut a strip of fabric. Then fold it in half so that the shorter ends meet. Sew these shorter ends together. Turn it right side out and you are done! Refer to the pictures below if you need help.

Cold weather doll stuff: 3 easy ways to make an infinity scarf for a doll

Hello! This craft is pretty easy all three ways but I am going to put it in order from easiest to hardest. Don't worry, the hardest one is not even that hard. I am going to do it in three seperate posts so that you can see the picture right below the instructions. I may even need to use a video if the tablet is able to post videos. Enjoy!

Easy way #1:Sock scarf
This method is easier than pie (making pie is actually a really long process, I guess when the expression was made everyone knew how to make pie). All you have to do is cut the top of the sock off. Really, that is all. If your sock is fraying, then you may want to hem the sides but you do not have to. Refer to the pictures below if you need a little help. Put it around your doll or toy's neck by using the opening where you would have put it on

Shopkins: Homemade!

This shopkins post is a little different. This time around, the Shopkins are homemade! Since I figured I would probably never get any limited edition shopkins, I made some out of clay. I used the clay out of the Klutz Clay Charms kit (I really love Klutz, I even mentioned the potholders kit in one of my first posts). I used refrences from the Shopkins wikia page. I formed Cupcake Queen, Sunny Screen and Twinkie Winks (her arm fell off, but, I still love her) out of yellow clay because that's what I had the most of. After I painted them with metallic paint in certain spots and normal paint in other spots. Since Sunny Screen is blue with a metallic finish, I just painted a light coat of silver nail polish. Since before I had 22 Shopkins, now I have 25 because I made 3. I hope you enjoyed this blog post so bye bye for now!

Review: Shopkins!

Hello! These are Shopkins! I actually got them in July, but I forgot to review them. They are adorable kawaii foods with adorable expressions. They also have cute and punny names like Suds (a happy bar of soap) and Peppe Pepper (a sneezing pepper shaker) just to name a few. Each Shopkin can be found in two colours. Sometimes on the list with the drawings of the Shopkins, they draw a pink variation of red shopkins instead of a green one. If you are checking a green Shopkin off of your list and cannot find it, check off the pink version. The list each pack comes with is crazy long. There are playsets (that usually come with 2 special shopkins only found in that playset), five packs (one blind bag Shopkin and five rubbery baskets), twelve packs (two blind bag Shopkins with I THINK five rubbery baskets) extremely rare twenty packs (they all have the same Shopkins but allof them are blind and I do not know how many bags), and comepletely blind two packs with one hard plastic basket. I have purchased four five packs and one two pack. There are pictures below of my shopkins. I have twenty-two in total. Bye  bye for now!

Fabric

Sorry! I do not think that this picture showed up in my post craft updates (at least that is what the tablet is showing) so here it is! I hope you liked this post so bye bye for now :-)!

COMING SOON!!!

In March 2014, I pre-ordered  a Lammily doll. A Lammily doll is a doll that has a proportionate body. Almost all doll companies make their dolls with unreal measurements. I think this was a great idea to create a proportionate doll. The website where you can find out more is www.lammily.com. I actually found the doll's measurements online and pre-made clothes and other stuff. There are pictures below of my crafts. She was scheduled to come this month but I will do a review on her when she comes. I hope you enjoyed and found helpful this short blog post so bye byr for now :-)!

My custom liv doll

Yaaay! My first doll review! This is my custom liv doll that I am very happy with. I purchased her at a thrift store called Value Village for $4. She was in almost new condition except for her hair (which was in relatively good condition considering sge is from a thrift store) and the fact that her outfit was incomplete but that's okay because I was not expecting her to come with anything, not even a wig. She is an It's my nature Sophie and she came with EVERYTHING except for the vest and hat. The wig she is wearing is custom made by me. It is mt first doll wig that turned out good under my standards. I ordered the hair from dollyhair.com and I was FLOORED at the hair quality and how quickly it got here. It only took 2 weeks or so. I purchased spice brown acetate hair. I must say it is EXTREMELY soft! I love how it was pre-stranded if that makes any sense to you. Everything she is wearing is what she came with except for the jewlary and the wig. The wig on your left hand side is the one from the thrift store. She is sitting on my fabric from Fabricland. I am happy with how she turned out so bye bye for now :-)!

P.S. when making a custom liv doll, do not take out her eyes.
I repeat,  do not remove the eyes.

Craft updates

Hi there! I haven't made a post in a while, so i decided to make some craft updates. I made stuff fot littlest pet shop, barbies, and liv dolls. The first pictures are of my littlest pet shop. I made microphones and instruments. I have to admit that littlest pet shop is one of my favourite toys. I took a few pictures, one of my ant singing and playing the piano, my pink armadillo singing with a flute, and my brown armadillo singing with a violin. The next craft is a liv doll outfit. I actually made this one a while ago, for a video I was working on (that MAY be posted on youtube, I'll keep you posted on the progress). I am going to try to make a video with the littlest pet shops amd their instruments too. This next one is Inky's, it is a fabric I purchased from Fabricland. Fabricland is my favourite store. I actually just went yesterday. Inky has a pet fuzzy that I made on the rainbow loom. There is a picture below with the fabric. I hope you like all my crafts so bye bye for now :-)!

Cold weather doll stuff: Basic Coat

Some basic supplies
(for all the winter stuff)

·sewing needle and thread (or a sewing machine if you have one)
·any kind of fabric
·a hot glue gun
·any decorative supplies (ribbon, beads,etc.)
·clay or dough (for cozy foods like cookies)
·yarn
·crochet hook or knitting needles (optional)
·paint or chalk pastels (again, for the food if needed)

Let's start with a basic coat. Start by cutting a rectangle that can fit all the way around your doll. Make sure you leave room for a hem. Hem all the sides by either sewing or gluing. Cut armholes. Make the sleeves by measuring a piece of fabric around your doll's arm leaving room for a hem and other cuts. Glue or sew the longer ends. On the end of the sleeve, make small cuts. Refer to the second image below for how you attatch it. If you want you can attatch something so that it can open and close.

No-sew doll clothes

No-sew doll clothes
Hi! Inkytude's back with a few more awesome no-sew crafts that you can learn how to make!
No-sew doll dress
For this dress you will need scissors, fabric, ribbon, and anything pretty you would like to glue on.
To start, decide how long you want your dress to be. Then cut a strip with that length on the shorter side. Measure and cut as much fabric that can fit comfortably around your doll and cut it there. Now you have a rectangular shape to work with. Cut arm holes where the arms are when you wrap it around her whole body.
Put your doll into the dress and overlap it at the back. You can chose to glue Velcro at the back of the dress or to tie a ribbon around the waist. You can even use a rubber band. Now you can decorate it to your pleasure!
No-sew doll poncho
This poncho is very easy and does not take a lot of time at all. The materials needed for this craft are fabric and scissors. Just like the pants!
Start off by cutting a circle that when folded in half is as long as you want it to be. To give it a different look, you can cut a square instead. When you are done cutting the shape, fold it in quarters and cut the tip at the top just big enough for your doll's head to pass through. Dress your doll from top to bottom. Put on any pretty little details and you are done! HAVE FUN!

See the pictures at the bottom if you need help:-)
